WHO WE ARE
EXTRAORDINARY SUPPORT, WHEN YOU NEED IT
AT SRCN, WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY
Bringing together decades of experience understanding the day-to-day pressures and challenges faced by maintenance leads and supervisors, SRCN Solutions was founded in Aberdeen in 2017.
Our goal is to deliver accessible consultancy from a team of subject matter experts, that enables organisations to identify underperforming areas of their businesses. We provide strategies to tackle the root causes of underperformance and the expertise to make impactful change. We specialise in creating, refining, and improving work management systems.
With founding commitments to our customers to never recommend change for its own sake and to always provide a fixed price, fixed scope and fixed duration for our services, we do things at differently at SRCN.
WE'RE HERE WHEN YOU NEED THE EXTRA BANDWIDTH
We understand that you know there are challenges to work management within your business. We also know that finding additional bandwidth to identify, define solutions, and tackle these challenges can be tricky. SRCN will provide the independent external viewpoint and verification to make things happen. We’re here to free up your resources so your teams can focus on essential work.
WE'RE A GOOD FIT
We’ve consistently proven that our experience (combined with our innovative and agile way of working) is a good fit for organisations with responsibility for large scale asset maintenance.
HOW WE'LL WORK WITH YOU
We created SRCN to deliver for our clients in the way we would appreciate as a customer. Our team of subject matter experts are your peers and we’ve been in your shoes. We know that you want to be confident we’ll deliver what we say we will - with minimal disruption and ongoing dependence – all with a defined cost and timeframe. We'll take a boilersuit up, rather than a boardroom down approach.
Our founder Colin Wilson explains our approach in the following short video.
DELIVERING WHAT WE SAY WE WILL
We have a demonstrable track record of consistently delivering what we said we would, when we said we would. Talk to our clients, we’re happy to put you in touch.
FIXED PRICE, FIXED SCOPE, FIXED DURATION PROJECTS
We’ll ensure you with full visibility of what our services will cost, what they will involve, and how long they will take.
MINIMISING DISRUPTION AND MITIGATING PAIN POINTS
We’ll work independently within your organisation, often remotely and always minimising disruption to your personnel. We’ll involve your team and work within your existing processes to ensure buy in, understanding and reducing pushback. We’re here to free up your resources so your teams can focus on essential work.
WE'RE NOT AN INDEFINITE FIXTURE
We’ll provide you with a solution that you can implement and will never recommend change for its own sake. Should you decide you want our support, we can provide the additional bandwidth, help you to communicate the rationale behind our work within your business and can also provide training and coaching wherever it’s needed across your organisation.
MEET THE SRCN SOLUTIONS TEAM
Colin Wilson, Director
Colin began his career at The Weir Group, mastering the challenges of delivering high engineering standards at low cost in demanding markets like naval, water, and hydro power. This sparked his obsession with reducing waste and eliminating inefficiency—principles that became his professional compass.
Transitioning to oil and gas, Colin witnessed how high margins and rapid growth masked inefficiency, reinforcing his drive to unlock value through optimisation and improvement. With over a decade of experience in maintenance execution and business transformation across top-tier companies, he has consistently delivered enhanced compliance, efficiency, and work management.
A recognised expert in work management, Colin authored the OEUK Maintenance Backlog KPIs and their guidance, sharing his insights widely on LinkedIn. Passionate about action over intent, he believes organisational success hinges on what people do, not what they plan to do.
Outside of work, Colin enjoys quality time with his wife and three young boys.
